His books include The Barnyard Epithet and Other Obscenities, Don’t Shoot-We Are Your Children!, and Nightmare. About the Narrator Eric Michael Summerer is a voice actor and producer who has narrated numerous audiobooks as well as countless instructional recordings and video games.   “The Barnyard Epithet and Other Obscenities” (Harper‐Pe rennial, 95 cents) takes its name from two episodes at the trial which, to Lukas, symbol ize the event.

Forbidden by his Times editors to use a common vulgarity that the defendants shouted at the trial, he substituted the euphemism "barnyard epithet." It inspired his first book, "The Barnyard Epithet and Other Obscenities: Notes on the Chicago Conspiracy Trial.". Anthony Lukas was a Pulitzer Prize winner at the New York Times, and had recently written a book entitled "Nightmare: The Underside of the Nixon Years." Hank Greenspun was the publisher of the "Las Vegas Sun" and was very familiar with many in the Nixon orbit and had known Howard Hughes both as friend and otherwise for many years.

Lukas also wrote in a book about another famous trial, "The Barnyard Epithet and Other Obscenities: Notes on the Chicago Conspiracy Trial." Many adjectives have been used to describe one of America's most brilliant writers: decent, erudite, insightful, dedicated, intense, energetic, inventive, sensitive, tender, self-righteous, brooding. He has been a Nieman, Kennedy, and Guggenheim Fellow and has taught at Harvard, Yale, and Boston University. His previous books include The Barnyard Epithet and Other Obscenities: Notes on the Chicago Conspiracy Trial; Don't Shoot--We Are Your Children!; andNightmare: the Underside of the Nixon Years. show more.
